Patent DCC definite!
On August 4, 2009 a worldwide patent was granted on Dual Cure Chemistry (DCC) Technology by Baril Coatings.
This is a landmark in Baril Coatings' history.
Developing an innovative coating-technology may be called ground-breaking.
The exceptional in this technology is that, apart from traditional curing processes, also the surrounding air's humidity conduces to the coating's curing. This may be called pioneering. Because humidity always used to be an obstructive element in the coating's curing processes.
This negative aspect is now faced by the new technology. Moreover, DCC gains higher resistance, more effective corrosion prevention, better adhesion, higher flexibility, lower solvent emission and improved protection with thinner layers.
In short: the request for "cradle to cradle" and a reduction of the carbon footprint are facilitated by DCC. Baril Coatings awaits further expansions with DCC.
