From January 2009 Baril Coatings, specialist in protective and industrial coatings from the Netherlands will start activities in the UK market.In close cooperation with Intercoat Industrial Paints from Walsall, who will represent Baril Coatings in The UK, they will introduce new innovative technologies, locally manufactured and distributed by Intercoat.

Baril Coatings, founded in 1982 with head-quarters in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and two manufacturing plants in The Netherlands, develops durable compliant coatings for a great variety of applications in the area of protective coatings and industrial product finishes. Already established with manu-facturing and distribution operations in various other countries (Poland, Romania, Turkey, Jordan, China and USA) Baril Coatings introduces new Coating tech-nologies in all these markets.

Intercoat Industrial Paints will also be responsible for manufacturing and distribution of products for Ireland.

Mark Iliffe, National Sales Manager at Intercoat is delighted to have signed this exclusive arrangement with Baril and comments: “it provides us with the latest up to date products to help us penetrate both the UK and Irish metal and plastic markets and gives us the opportunity to build on our established and unique portfolio of woodfinishing products”.

As part of Intercoats growth strategy adding the Baril range of ‘state of the art’products is anticipated to help users to overcome presently unsolved problems in energy efficiency and environmental compliance.
